Change language settings

ButtonsCLI can follow your system language or use a specific app language. Language changes apply to the main window, detached Settings window, detached AI Help window, and native app menus.

First launch

New installs may show a language confirmation before opening the normal workspace. Choose the detected system language or pick a specific language.

Existing installs should not be forced through that prompt again.

Change language later

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Advanced.
3. Find Language & Region.
4. Choose Follow system language or Choose a specific language.
5. Save Settings.

The interface updates without restarting the app.

Translation coverage

Some languages may be partial. Missing translated strings fall back to English so the app stays usable while translation coverage improves.

If a translated label looks wrong or unclear, use Feedback and choose a UI or localization-related category.
